Mixed cards using Simply Home Made Issue 51 Papers

As I was on a card ,making roll I decided to make a few more ready for when you need a card quickly.  I used the papers from Simply Home Made Issue 51.  The photos aren’t that great quality as the battery was starting to flatten in my camera.

Birthday Cards

There’s a lot of family birthdays in July.  I made two more one for my sister and one for my brother-in-law.  I used Stampin Up’s ‘Painted Petals’ papers for both.

Well I just struggled to find the photos and couldn’t work out why.  It was because I was looking at pictures modified today but it is now tomorrow at 00.30!  I think the one on the left is more manly.  I must have a look for inspiration for cards for boys and men.  For my 14 year old nephew I bought a card from Oxfam – I thought if I bought a card at least the money would go to charity.   In fact I was very charitable because I lost the card between there and home!!

I’ve been making lots of thank you cards in preparation for my nephew going to ‘big school. These ones are  obviously aimed at teacher/school.

Thank You/A Note to Say Cards

On a card making roll I started making lots of thank you cards in preparation for my nephew going to ‘big school’. These ones are more generic where as the second lot are specific to teacher/school.

I used the homemade paper cut out shapes again and papers from Nature’s Gallery (Docrafts) as well as some papers I got from the magazine Simply Home Made Issue 51.  The ‘Just a note to say’ was a stamp from that issue.

I Won a Prize From Quick Cards Made Easy!!

I can’t remember the last time I won anything but recently I have entered lots of crafty competitions. Some challenges and others prize draws.  This was a prize draw – £1000 Stampin’ Up Painted Petals Giveaway from Issue 136 ( a share of £1000 NOT £1000!).

I got a pad of patterned paper and two inks stamps:

Edited 10/5/15.  I’ve just received ‘Part 2’ of my prize.  I thought something was missing but didn’t know it was coming in two parts.   So I got loads of wooden stamps too!!
